uPVC Door Locks Repaired Winchcombe
I was called out to a property in Winchcombe as it had a uPVC front door and a back door that both had locking mechanisms that were beginning to fail. A double glazing company had been replacing some of the windows & when asked to look at these failing locks, they’d told the owner that this type of locking mechanism was discontinued.
Luckily, they called MP Locksmiths, as an experienced local locksmith I know the tricks other companies play, stating locks are discontinued to get the client to upgrade to a much more expensive lock! A lot of modern new build homes have uPVC front & back doors containing Era locking mechanisms. The old version of these Era locks is prone to failing, but the new Era locking mechanisms have been much improved and can easily replace the old ones, saving the client money.
The client was very happy to have both uPVC door locks repaired without the big bill she’d been expecting!
